Jesus said, "clean the inside of the cup first, then the outside will be clean also". For while the outside may appear clean, and the children of Adam may put forth the appearance, it is indeed an illusion. Yea, it is deception and hence that much more unclean; for it is a veneer of righteousness - and the Lord will not have it. If the inside of the cup is clean, then the outside is no longer deception, it is no falsehood.
Prayer
Lord, be pleased to wash me this day. Let me not deceive myself, but rather please You - entirely clean that I would be a vessel meet for the master's use. For Your glory's sake, amen.

It's great to see you blogging again!
We are prone to be far too concerned with our own outward appearance and what our peers will think about same. Our interest in the outward appearance of others is shallow at best. If we focused on what God is seeing both in ourselves and in others, we'd be much better off spiritually and emotionally.
Pat, this is your gift. I know we've has our spats. I think for the most part, I've come to my senses. I think tone has a lot do with the way we present out arguments. And on the net its difficult to gage that. But when you put the Word out like this, it can only strengthen and encourage. Good work my friend!
Thanks you for those good words, both.
Having God's vantage point is no easy task at times, but it is attainable more and more.
You are sure correct about tone David. For my part, being winsome is a good goal, and also attainable.
Peace.
